Posted on 06/07/2018
Are you a Black girl entering seventh or eighth grade? Would you like to learn better ways of coping with stress?

If you answered yes to both of these questions, then SUN Shine* is for you! SUN Shine is a research project designed to bring Black and Biracial girls together in a safe learning environment to help them learn about stress and to provide tools to help them manage stress positively.

SUN Shine is led by undergraduate students at Kent State University and will take place for one week during summer 2018. At each session, there will be music, stepping, snacks and an app to help make you a less-stressed you! You may also earn a $10 gift card for your participation.

If you would like to learn more, contact Dr. Angela Neal-Barnett at 330.672.2266 or aneal@kent.edu. Space is limited, so don't delay.

*SUN Shine is not a replacement for group or individual therapy.
