At the December 10 Akron School Board meeting, Project RISE was recognized for receiving the McKinney-Vento Program Award for Excellence from the Ohio Department of Education.
Earlier this fall, Executive Director Shannah Cariño accepted the award while in Columbus for the Statewide Summit for Enrichment & Education. Project RISE was recognized for outstanding efforts in service to McKinney-Vento Families and excellent parent and family engagement in particular.
