School Climate
Measurable and perceived conditions of a school day and building (e.g. Safety, Instructional Environment, Interpersonal Relationships, Teaching and Learning, Staff and Community Engagement) involving all stakeholders which influence and impact student learning, development, and outcomes.

The Student Services Team Members (SSTM) for School Climate work in selected elementary buildings to positively impact the school day experience for all stakeholders.  SSTM’s work is student-focused to provide positive participation opportunities and assist with de-escalation and good decision-making practices of the students.    Their interaction and mentor based relationships with students provide positive pathways for behavior and student to student as well as student to staff interactions.  SSTM’s implement processes based on Restorative Discipline practices and work to “reset” students in need so they may return to the classroom as quickly as possible.
